Finding My Career Path

My experience at STRIVE 2025 at UBC Sauder School of Business was truly one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! For two days, I got to be involved in workshops, networking, and a business competition, all revolving around where business and technology meet.

One of the biggest highlights was presenting my group’s work. It was intimidating but thrilling! Speaking in front of professionals and my peers really helped me feel more confident speaking about ideas.

But honestly, the best part of STRIVE 2025 was the people I met. I contacted the experts at the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) and CPA Western School of Business, and they broke down the CPA career path for me. I had no idea there were so many accounting specialties!

After learning more, I realized that I’m really interested in auditing – it’s the best fit for me given my strengths and interests. I would like to thank their support, since now I know that I would prefer to become an auditor holding a CPA qualification in the future.
